Bridget O'Connor — counselor and therapist

Bridget O'Connor

Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate

If you're here, something in you is asking for care, and that's worth listening to. I'm Bridget O'Connor, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, and I am so glad you are here. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to explore what's going on beneath the surface while also building practical tools for everyday life.

My approach: I tailor my approach to fit you rather than trying to fit you into a one-size-fits-all model. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and authenticity, and I believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen and understood.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including attachment-focused therapy, parts work, CBT, and person-centered counseling. In practice, that means we may explore patterns in relationships, learn to better understand different parts of yourself, build coping skills, process emotions, and reconnect with your strengths and values. Above all, I focus on what feels most helpful and supportive for you.

My experience: I work with teens and adults in individual therapy and support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem, stress, life transitions, and more.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher and in a fast-paced corporate environment, experiences that deepened my understanding of the pressures of life, and the quiet struggles many people carry beneath the surface.

What you can expect from me as a therapist: You can expect a therapist who is compassionate, collaborative, and honest. I'll meet you with empathy and support while gently encouraging you to notice patterns, explore new perspectives, and move toward the life you want for yourself.

I want therapy to feel like a space where you don't have to perform, have all the answers, or carry everything alone. Along the way, we'll create room for insight, healing, and self-understanding.

I know reaching out can feel vulnerable. If you're considering taking that first step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
