Philosophy of Care

Psychiatric medications are implemented to decrease the severity and intensity of symptoms. Amber Grob has a conservative approach to medications. Specifically, diagnoses can be managed with limited medications on a consistent basis, as well as as needed medications. In some situations, there are compounding health or medical issues that can make this difficult. Medical, physical, hormonal and physiological components can be factors contributing to the presentation of psychiatric symptoms. All of this is assessed at your first appointment, as well as ongoing. Amber Grob also provided Genetic Testing for medication metabolism. This can be insightful in your medication selection and overall health journey. Amber Grob also works routinely with Spravato (Esketamine) Treatments for reduction of psychiatric symptoms.
